ADVANCED DEFENSIVE DRIVING SKILLS COURSE
Taught in two sections, the academic program will first teach drivers the theory and science of vehicle dynamics and accident prevention. Then, as an option, each driver can get in the vehicle, to actually practice these “life saving driving skills” under controlled conditions. Many of these driving techniques are traditionally taught only to law enforcement personnel, but now will be available to the public. Drivers will learn “how to control a vehicle” in a variety of emergency situations. There is no substitute for "hands-on" training experience because "good driving does not happen by accident," you must practice!
COURSE ELIGIBILITY
The Advanced Defensive Driving Skills Course titled "Life Saving Driving Skills" is open to any licensed driver age 16 and over. Proof of a valid, state issued driver's license is required. There is no maximum age limit.
